Dreamsuit supports PSD (Photoshop) files as well as the usual file formats, which means you can create designer frames and save them with transparent backgrounds (or non transparent) in Photoshop.
Note If necessary, reduce your photograph’s size prior to introducing them to Dreamsuit; for example, if they are newly uploaded to your PC from a digital camera, they could be very large - my lesson Here explains how to reduce the size of photographs.
1/ Open DreamSuite. 2/ Then introduce your image by clicking File then clicking Open - most files are compatible with Dreamsuit; including, JPEG, Gif and PSD (Adobe Photoshop).
3/ Now, click Special Effects and find Dreamsuit 2, then 2.25 Frame - then click Select Preset, illustrated below.
You will then see the following 2.25 frame pre-sets.
Scroll the library and click a frame you like, then click OK.
In addition, you are able to change any aspect of the frame - for example, the positions of the four frames, their size, colour, drop shadows, etc - don’t be afraid to play with the settings.
4/ When you are happy with your choice of frame, and its attributes, (to retain its transparency), from the top menu, choose File then choose Save.
In the subsequent Save As dialogue box, save your image as a PSD file.
Open Photoshop, then open your image onto its workspace; you will notice it has retained the transparent background - as shown below.
5/ To fill the transparent background with a Solid Colour, Pattern or Gradient, link Here. Alternatively, link Here to learn how to optimise and save your work.
