Are You Seeking Paying Graphic Design/Photoshop/Restoration Work? Currently, no. I am a tutorial writer, not a trained graphic designer, and as such, my primary goal is to share my Photoshop expertise and knowledge with others by way of my on-line and PDF tutorials.
What Is Your E-mail Address? The reason I have a Contact Form and not an e-mail address is to protect my e-mail address from being harvested for the purpose of Spam Mail. You are welcome to e-mail me Here.
Can My Profit-making Forum/Group/Organisation Link To Your On-line Tutorials? No.
Which Photoshop Versions Are Your Tutorials Compatible With? Photoshop Tutorials I began writing Photoshop tutorials in August 2005; as a result, they have been written using either CS, CS2 or CS3 (Extended). My PDF purchasers have told me my tutorials can be adapted to work with earlier Photoshop versions, and Photoshop Elements; and I know from experience that my tutorials are compatible with CS4 (Extended).
Photoshop Elements Tutorials I began writing Photoshop Elements tutorials in February 2010: therefore my Elements tutorials are written using Elements 8: however, the majority will be compatible with earlier Elements versions.
Do You Have A Mac Or Do You Utilise A Windows PC? I operate Windows XP; I currently have no experience with Macs, Windows Vista or earlier Windows platforms.
What Inspired You To Write Tutorials? Being new to Photoshop in 2005, I felt the quickest way to conquer it was by writing tutorials then uploading them to share with others; the “public arena” hastened the learning process; encouraging me to do my absolute best. Seeking a new challenge, I began writing Elements tutorials in February 2010.
I Have Purchased Your PDFs, Where Can They Be Downloaded From? After making your payment, PayPal should immediately redirect you to my PDF Downloads Page; once there, remember to add the page’s URL to your Bookmarks or Favourites Page. In addition, you will find my PDF Download Page’s Url in the Welcome E-mail I sent to you, (whilst awaiting your Welcome E-mail - please allow for time-zone differences). If you cannot find my Download Page’s Url, Contact Me; remembering to include your PayPal Transaction Number or your Invoice Number, I will then send the Url to you by return e-mail. (To ensure the safe arrival of my Welcome E-mail, please add wendi@photoshopcstutorials.co.uk to your E-mail’s White/Trusted List).
What Skill Levels Are Needed To Complete Your Tutorials? My Photoshop tutorials are suitable for Beginners, Intermediate, right through to Advanced students.
Do You Host Other Peoples’ Tutorials? Currently, no.
Who Writes Your Tutorials? Myself, Wendi E. M. Scarth.
I am A Single (Non-group) Student, Can I Make A Profit Utilising The Photoshop Skills Gained From Your 30 On-line Or PDF Tutorials? Yes.
Is Your Website In Partnership With Another Website? Apart from my own Paint Shop Pro tutorial’s website, and my Weblog, no. I am currently not seeking partnerships.
Do You Write Tutorials For Others On A Professional Basis? Yes, you are welcome to contact me for further details.
Do You Write Tutorials For Others On A Non- Professional Basis? Currently, no.
I Have Purchased Your PDFs, Why Haven’t I Received Your Welcome E-mail? There are various reasons why you haven’t yet received my Welcome E-mail. There may be a time difference, and I am therefore not with my PC. Or I have turned my PC off for the day. Alternatively, your Welcome E-mail could be sitting in your E-mail’s Spam Folder. (To ensure the safe arrival of my Welcome E-mail, please add wendi@photoshopcstutorials.co.uk to your E-mail’s White/Trusted List).
I Have Purchased Your PDFs, Why Didn’t PayPal Automatically Redirect Me To Your Downloads Page? Perhaps there has been momentarily glitch with PayPal; and although your transaction has been successful, you may not have been redirected to my Downloads Page; this happens very rarely. However, if it does happen, and you’re not automatically redirected to my Downloads Page, you will find the link to my Downloads Page in your Welcome E-mail. (If you prefer, e-mail me, and I will send you the link by return e-mail). (To ensure the safe arrival of my Welcome E-mail, please add wendi@photoshopcstutorials.co.uk to your E-mail’s White/Trusted List).
What Photoshop Version Do You Use? Adobe Photoshop CS4: however, I have written most of tutorials using CS2/3. My Elements tutorials are currently written using version 8.
(I wrote many of my Photoshop tutorials between 2006 and 2008 to accelerate the learning process; that’s why my tutorials demonstrate how to utilise CS, CS2 and CS3 Extended. However, in April 2009 I upgraded to CS4 (Extended), and have updated my website to reflect this. My on-line and PDF tutorials are compatible with versions CS, CS2, CS3 and CS4 (Extended)).
Where Can I find The Extract Filter And Pattern Maker Filter? (CS4 Only) There are some plugins and presets that have been removed in Photoshop CS4. If you wish to use these plugins and presets, you can find them in your Goodies folder on your DVD install disc; or you can download them from Adobe via the link below.
CS4 Students: Important Extract Filter, Pattern Maker Plugin News - From Adobe
 |
How To Install The Plugins First, close Photoshop CS4: then unzip the following PHSPCS4_Optional_Plug-Ins(2).zip download, (found in the link above).
And install the extracted PHSPCS4_Cont_LS1.exe file into the Adobe Photoshop CS4 folder that is located in your main program files.
Then reopen Photoshop CS4 - and your filters should be ready to utilise - as illustrated below.
Are Your 342+ PDF And On-line Tutorials Fully Printable? I currently operate Windows XP, and my PDFs are fully printable with Windows XP (Home). However, I am currently unfamiliar with earlier Windows versions, Macs, Windows Vista and Windows 7 - and cannot (at this time) say whether my PDFs can be printed using those platforms. To test whether you are able to print my PDFs, you are welcome to download a Zipped PDF Here. (My on-line tutorials are fully printable with Firefox and Internet Explorer).
Printing Tip If you are experiencing difficulties printing my PDF (or Online) tutorials, try the following workaround. First highlight an Online or PDF tutorial’s content, (for example, text and screen captures), then Copy and Paste them into Microsoft Word/Works, (or another Word Processor), and print the tutorial using your Word Processor’s Printing Facility.
Are Your 51 Free On-line Tutorials Included In Your 342+ PDF Collection? Yes. My thirty free (on-line) tutorials have been converted into PDFs: and after your purchase, you will find them in their respective PDF Folders: for example, Type Effects, Photographic Effects, etc.
What Are Your MasterClass Tutorials? My Photoshop MasterClass Tutorials are three extra long PDF tutorials, and are otherwise known as Weekend Projects. My MasterClass Tutorials are aimed towards students who are comfortable with, or have mastered Photoshop; and they include my Convert Photographs Into Pop-art Artwork Using The Paint Brush Tool: Four PDFs, my Create Vector Illustrations Using The Pen Tool: 1 PDF and my Create An Out Of Bounds Picture Frame Using Layer Masks: 1 PDF. Although my MasterClass PDFs have been designed with Advanced students in mind, they are step-by-step and comprehensive, and include informative screen captures: therefore, confident Intermediate Photoshop students with a little practise and determination, should be able to complete them. My three MasterClass tutorials are included in my 342+ Photoshop PDF Tutorials Collection.

Are Your PDF Tutorials Compatible With All Operating Systems? My 342+ zipped PDF files are thoroughly tested at regular intervals, and as far as I am aware, they are compatible with all operating systems. Acrobat Reader Keeps Displaying A Reading Untagged Document Dialogue Box If you notice the following Reading Untagged Document dialogue box when opening your PDFs, clicking Cancel will safely and quickly close the box. (Clicking Start reads the PDF, which depending on the number of pages, can take a moment or two).
However, to stop the Reading Untagged Document dialogue box from reappearing: (once a PDF has been opened); from the PDF’s top menu, choose Edit then choose Preferences then choose Reading then choose Screen Reader Options then choose Page V’s Document. Now, from the right-side panel, click open the following Pages V’s Document list, and from the subsequent drop-down list, change it to Only read the currently visible pages then click OK.
If changing the Page V’s Document setting to Only read the currently visible pages fails to keep the Untagged Document dialogue box away, you may also need to Unmark the following Confirm before tagging document box: (remember to click OK).
If the Reading Untagged Document dialogue still persists: then ensure the Reading Order is set to its recommended setting - Infer reading order from document, as illustrated below.
