Undo and Navigation Steps
Two ways of undoing steps are from the top menu, Edit then Step Backwards.
Alternatively, click a previous snapshot in the History Palette.

Navigate (zoom in and pan) your image using the Navigator Palette,

or the Zoom Tool.

Activate The Hand Tool by tapping the Spacebar, keeping the Spacebar pressed, pan your image in the usual way.
1/
Open a New document and set the attributes of your choice. If you you are not printing your work, set the Resolution to 72 Pixel/Inch; if you are printing, set it to around 300.  Extend the New document’s grey workspace by dragging out one of its corners.

2/
Now, from the toolbar, activate the Horizontal Type Tool
Apply Type Tutorial Here.

And enter your choice of attributes into its Options bar; a slender - or handwriting font works best. Reposition your type with the Move Tool.

3/
Duplicate the Background layer by right-clicking it, and choosing Duplicate Layer from the drop-down list.

4/
Working on the duplicated layer, press Ctrl then left-click the layer thumbnail - as illustrated below-left. This isolates your type with a selection marquee.

5/
Working on the Copy layer, from the top menu, choose Layer then choose Rasterise then choose Type.

6/
Then set the
Background colour to mid grey, by clicking its swatch, and choosing grey from the subsequent Colour Picker box.

7/
Then, working on the top (copy) layer, press Ctrl then your Backspace key. Then press Ctrl then D to remove the marquee. Your copied type will now be grey.

8/
Now, (working on the top layer), from the top menu, choose Filter then choose Blur then choose Gaussian Blur. Set a Radius of around 2 (pixels), then click OK.

Blur settings depend on your image’s size - you are looking to create tubular text.

9/
Repeat Chapter 9. This time applying a Blur Radius of 2.5 Pixels, then click OK.

11/
Now, press Ctrl then M. And in the subsequent Adjustment Curves dialogue box, click along the curve to apply square points - then tug the points to create the following curve, then click OK
Curves Tutorial Here, Here and Here

Note
The curve does not have to be exact- experiment, and see how different curves effect your type.

12/
From the top menu, choose Filter then choose Sharpen then choose Smart Sharpen, or your choice of filter - then click OK.
Sharpen Images Tutorial Here.

If you are happy with your non-coloured metallic effect, proceed to Chapter 14.

Here. (From the top menu, choose Layer then choose New Fill Layer). Then apply a Layer Style, and from the top menu, choose Layer then choose Flatten Image and save your work.
