Two ways of undoing steps are from the top menu, Edit then Step Backwards. Alternatively, click a previous snapshot in the History Palette.

Navigate (zoom in and pan) your image using the Navigator Palette,

or the Zoom Tool.

Activate The Hand Tool by tapping the Spacebar, keeping the Spacebar pressed, pan your image in the usual way.
1/
Open a New document and set the following attributes.

s

2/
Then press your keyboard’s D key to set the default Foreground and Background colours.
3/
From the top menu, choose Filter then choose Render then choose Clouds.

4/
Again, from the top menu, choose Filter then choose Render, and this time, choose Difference Clouds.

5/
Duplicate the Background layer by dragging it over the following Create a new layer
icon, then click (to remove), the eye icon to hide the top layer’s visibility, then activate the bottom layer.

6/
Now, from the top menu, choose Filter then choose Stylise then choose Emboss. In the subsequent dialogue box, set the following attributes, then click OK.
Note: It is worth experimenting with this filter, later.

7/
Activate the top layer, and click back its visibility - then change its Blending Mode from Normal to Overlay. Tip: Experiment with different Blending Modes.

8/
Still working on the top layer, from the top menu, choose Image then choose Adjustments then choose Colour Balance. In the subsequent dialogue box, reposition the sliders to create a colour of your choice - or if you prefer, leave it monochrome.

When you are happy with your texture and its colour, flatten the layers and save your
work. Tip: Your texture may benefit from a Sharpening filter.

Tip
Further lighten or darken your texture, with the Dodge and Burn Tools, additionally, experiment with different filters to personalise your texture.
